Terms and Conditions
Last updated: October 2026
Welcome to Shamaila’s Massage Therapy. These Terms and Conditions apply to all treatments and services we provide (“we”, “us” or “our”). By booking an appointment or receiving treatment, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully and get in touch if anything is unclear.
1. Our Services
We offer a range of massage and holistic treatments, including Swedish, deep tissue, manual lymphatic, deep abdominal, bamboo sticks, hot stone and holistic facelift massage, reflexology, Indian head massage and dry cupping & hijama. Our services are provided to female clients only. Every treatment is tailored to your needs and comfort, and you can find details of each on our website.
2. Booking Appointments
- How to book: call us on 07471 904612 or send an email using the details below. Your booking is confirmed once we have replied to you.
- First appointment: please allow a few extra minutes so we can talk through your needs and make sure your chosen treatment is right for you.
3. Changes, Cancellations and Late Arrival
- Changes and cancellations: if you need to change or cancel, please let us know as early as you can so the time can be offered to another client. If an appointment is cancelled at very short notice or missed without notice, we reserve the right to charge for the reserved time.
- Late arrival: please arrive on time. If you are late, your session may need to be shortened so that later appointments are not affected.
4. Health, Suitability and Consent
- Telling us about your health: before your appointment and again at the start of your session, please tell us about any medical conditions, medication, pregnancy, recent surgery or procedures, injuries or anything else that may affect whether treatment is suitable for you.
- Consultation and consent: each session starts with a conversation about your needs. We will explain what the treatment involves, and you are welcome to ask questions, ask us to adjust anything or stop at any time.
- Right to decline or stop: we may decline, postpone or stop a treatment if we believe it is not suitable or not safe for you.
- Specialist treatments: for treatments such as dry cupping & hijama, we will explain what to expect before we begin.
- Not medical care: massage and complementary therapies are not a substitute for medical assessment or treatment where this is needed. If you notice a new, severe or unexplained symptom, please seek medical advice.
5. Prices and Payment
- Prices: current prices are confirmed when you enquire or book.
- Payment: payment is due at the end of your session. Please ask about accepted payment methods when you book.
- Price changes: prices may change from time to time, but a change will not affect appointments that are already confirmed.
6. Refunds and Complaints
- Refunds: refunds are not usually given for treatments that have taken place, except where consumer law requires it.
- Complaints: if you are unhappy with any part of your experience, please contact us as soon as possible so we can look into it promptly and fairly.
7. Client Conduct
We aim to provide a professional, welcoming and comfortable space for everyone. We may end a session immediately and decline future bookings if behaviour is inappropriate, abusive or makes the therapist feel unsafe or uncomfortable.
8. Privacy
We look after your personal and health information as described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Limitation of Liability
We provide our services with reasonable care and skill, but the effects of treatment differ from person to person and we cannot guarantee particular results. Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Subject to this, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. If you are unsure whether treatment is suitable for you, we recommend speaking to your GP or another healthcare professional before booking.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute, without affecting any rights you have as a consumer.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version is always on this page, with the date of the last update shown at the top. The version in place when you book applies to that booking.
